+
+NOTE: tag names and CLHEP versions, etc., will change.  These are
+representative and apply on 2nd August 2001.
+
+NOTE: as for csh.  For sh, ksh, bash, replace setenv by export and put
+'=' between name and value, e.g., export G4=<your G4 working
+directory>.
+
+1)   setenv G4 <your G4 working directory>
+     setenv SCRATCH <your-work-directory>  (for binaries)
+
+2)   cd $G4
+     cvs co -r geant4-03-02-ref-02 geant4
+
+3) Needs CLHEP1.7: go to Geant4 Web Page, Download, CLHEP version 1.6
+   (sic), CLHEP, "LINUX V1.7 using egcs 1.1.2" and untar into, say,
+   G4/CLHEP1.7/.  (egcs 1.1.2 is the default compiler on Noric.)
+     cd $G4
+     mkdir CLHEP1.7
+     cd CLHEP1.7
+     tar xzf clhep-1.7.0.0-egcs-1.1.2.tar.gz
+
+4) Optionally, update to later subtags:
+     cd $G4/geant4/source/visualization
+     cvs update -d -P -r vis-V03-02-12
+     cd $G4/geant4/graphics_reps
+     cvs update -d -P -r greps-V03-02-03
+     cd $G4/geant4/intercoms

+5)   setenv G4INSTALL $G4/geant4
+     setenv G4BIN $SCRATCH/bin
